Lynda Collins

United Kingdom

Born on May 28th, 1945, Lynda Collins took her dramatic step to transistion to female when she was forty years of age.

In 1997, Collins co-founded the Blackpool Renaissance Transgender Group in England. The Blackpool Renaissance Transgender Group is a self-help support group that was formed to help trans people come out, be themselves in a safe environment, and find support in their long journey.

Since it’s founding, the Blackpool Renaissance Transgender Group has helped many transgender women decide how they wished to progress in their desired and needed change of gender. Many of these women are now happy and settled into their new roles in life, often with new employment.

Through it’s twice-monthly meetings, The Blackpool Renaissance Transgender Group provides a safe haven for TV/TG/TS, both M2F or F2M, to be themselves, meet like minded people, and make new friends. The group meetings are perfect for trans people who wish to spread their wings and gain confidence before they do so on their own.
